Dwayne Alan Pace, born on September 1, 1961, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, at the age of 64. His journey through life was one defined by profound dedication, unwavering faith, and an enduring commitment to helping those around him.

Dwayne was a cherished son of Elizabeth Bourget Pace and the late Jesse Aaron Pace. He was deeply loved by his girlfriend, Jackie Chandler; and his brothers, Robert Pace, Stephen Pace, Melvin Douglas Pace, and Jonathan Pace. His spirit lives on through his many nieces and nephews: Jake (Sonja), Aaron (Shadai), Crystal (Santiago), Jesse (Amanda), Andy (Jessie), and Mandie (Jason); as well as great-nieces and great-nephews, Ciro, Olive, Nova, Aurora, Logan, Zoe, and AJ. Preceding him in death were his beloved brothers, Kenneth Pace and Andrew Pace.

A steadfast member of Newfound Baptist Church in Leicester, Dwayne's Christian beliefs were at the core of everything he did. His life was a testament to his faith, reflected in his tireless work with the Buncombe County school system and his endless generosity toward those in need. Whether it was through offering a helping hand or a listening ear, Dwayne ensured that everyone around him felt supported and cared for.

In all aspects of his life, Dwayne lived by the conviction that true happiness lies in serving others. Though he sought no accolades, his community is forever better for having had his kind and guiding presence. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and integrity.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Dwayne's life on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Freeman officiating. A graveside service will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Hendersonville, where Dwayne will be laid to rest among family.

The family is honored by the compassionate guidance of Shuler Funeral Home in these times of reflection and remembrance. In honoring Dwayne's life, let us each carry forward his mantle of kindness and serve as beacons of light in the world.
