Dwight Broadwater Obituary
Dwight Edward Broadwater, 82, of Cross, WV, died on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at his home. Born on February 6, 1940, in Beryl, WV, he was the son of the late Howard and Mable (Ashby) Broadwater.
He attended the Elk Garden school and was in the graduating class of '58. He spent his early adult years living in the Baltimore and Tacoma Park area before moving back home to Cross, WV, where he spent his remaining years. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a coal miner.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Ann (Brown) Broadwater; a son, Ronald Broadwater; a grandson, Dustin Broadwater; two great grandchildren; a brother, Delbert "Pete" Broadwater of Westernport, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Dallas, Dale, Darl, and Dwain; a sister, Dot Broadwater; and a half-brother, Don.
Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St. Kitzmiller, Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 5 to 7 PM, and on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 10 to 11 AM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11 AM with Pastor Ken Mason officiating. Interment will follow at the Kalbaugh Cemetery in Elk Garden, WV.
