Dwight Wayne Gardner, 74, peacefully left this earth on June 13, 2025.
Wayne was born on July 5, 1950 to Dwight and Betty Jane (Rost) Gardner in Marshfield, MO.
On April 3, 1970, Wayne married Linda Gayle Hunt. They've shared many adventures over their 54 years of marriage. Their greatest adventures included becoming parents to Stacie Waylynn in 1979 & Kelly Kaylynn in 1983. Wayne worked hard for his family for over 50 years as a Union Laborer for Local 663 out of Springfield, Missouri. He spent the majority of his career working for DeWitt & Associates.
His biggest joy later in life was being a Papa. His most important jobs were countless McDonald's trips and keeping the Dr. Pepper fully stocked. Tyler Adam, Addison Kaylynn & Elliana Grace will always have fond memories of him being the tickle monster.
Wayne had a love for NASCAR races and muscle cars especially his Ford Mustang. He was known as a great guy always willing to help a friend when needed.
Wayne is survived by his daughters Stacie (Gardner)Carrero, Kelly (Gardner) Gilkey and Husband Adam Gilkey and Grandchildren Tyler & Addie Gilkey and Elliana Grace Carrero. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Linda, and his two sisters, Connie and Carolyn.
We love you, we miss you and we will see you both at the lake.
