Dwight Addison Weller Jr., age 86, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, formerly of New York, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025. He was born on August 4, 1939, in Jamestown, New York, to Dwight Addison Weller Sr. and Ethel (Olson) Weller.
Dwight proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he worked for many years in the Chautauqua County Highway Department in New York. Dwight’s commitment to public service extended beyond his profession; he also served as the President and Assistant Fire Chief for the Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the Village Board.
Dwight had a passion for small-scale farming, where he spent many hours caring for pigs and cows. He loved the outdoors, finding joy in camping and nurturing his farm. His affection for dogs was well-known, as they were a cherished part of his life and he also had a love for elephants.
Above all, Dwight was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He took immense pride in his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy; three children, Kim (Sue) Weller, Kevin (Patricia) Weller, and Tammy (Thom) Bates; as well as grandchildren Greg (Sarah) Weller, Laura (Dave) Golner, Keith Weller, Brad Weller (Julia Nelson), Jennifer Weller (James Wozniak), Danielle Weller (Marcin Celmer), Matthew Weller (Jaimie Lee Kulas), Meghan (Ryan) McClure, Andrew (Jessica) Bates, and Josh Bates, along with 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the memorial service at 12:00 noon, with full military honors, at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, located at 1110 S Grand Ave, Waukesha, WI 53186.
