Earl K. Coggin Sr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, peacefully departed this life on September 30, 2025, at the remarkable age of 94. Born on July 4, 1931, in Ft. Benning, Georgia, Earl spent his formative years growing up in the DeLand and Boca Raton communities.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Earl dedicated over two decades of his life to service, from 1951 to 1973. His journey first took him to Baltimore where he met and fell in love with Ethel Price. Together they traveled across the globe, from the Philippines to the breathtaking vistas of Crete, Vermont, the Azores, South Carolina and Virginia. He retired from the Air Force in Florida, embodying the values of honor, duty, and patriotism that defined his life.

Following his military career, Earl embraced a new chapter in Florida, where he flourished in Real Estate and the Title Insurance business, and became an indispensable partner in his beloved wife Ethel's ceramics business, showcasing his craftsmanship as a master slip and mold pourer. Together, they created a legacy of creativity and dedication that touched many lives. Earl devoted over 50 years as an active member of St. Marks in Indialantic, where his unwavering faith and commitment to serving others exemplified his deep Christian values.

Earl's commitment to community service was unparalleled. He devoted countless hours volunteering with Meals on Wheels, bringing nourishment and companionship to those in need, and served at polling stations, ensuring that every voice was heard during elections. His generous spirit and unwavering dedication inspired all who knew him to embrace the joy of giving back.

Earl was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Ruth Alice Coggin Bryington, his parents, Joseph and Ruth, and his seven siblings. He leaves behind a legacy of love, supported by his devoted wife of 72 years, Ethel Price Coggin, and their children: Terri Church (John), Earl Coggin, Jo Anne Estes (Clayton), and Randy Coggin (Robin). He is also survived by his treasured grandchildren: Jennifer Frith (Barry), James Estes (Katie), Randy Coggin Jr., Rebecca Coggin, Dylan Church (Julia), Kacy Coggin (Taylor), Davis Church (Ashley), and Elizabeth Coggin, along with great-grandchildren Erin, Logan, Daniella, Matthew, Christopher, Molly, Lorelei, Alivia, Theodore, Brady, Hudson, Pierce, Oliver, and Shepherd, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Earl was not only a great listener but also a beacon of wisdom and compassion. He embodied the essence of what it means to be a Christian, a devoted husband, a loving father, and an American patriot. His selflessness and respect for others shone through in every interaction, and his stories were rich with life lessons and laughter.

He found joy in life's simple pleasures-whether it was bowling with friends, crafting in his workshop, playing games with family, tending to his garden, or creating cherished memories with loved ones. As we gather to celebrate Earl's life, we honor his enduring love and the countless moments that will forever resonate in our hearts.
