Earl Dewayne Dangel

Earl Dewayne Dangel, 95, passed away August 12, 2024 at Washakie Medical Center in Worland, Wyoming.
Earl was born on June 2, 1929 in Gillette, WY to Edward and Ruby Leone Dangel. He was an only child. His family moved to Sheridan, WY, where Earl graduated from Sheridan High School in 1947. He married Margaret Lavonne Stiffler on October 28, 1950, in Kodiak, Alaska, where Earl was stationed in the United States Navy.
While still in the Navy he was moved to Bremerton, Washington, where he and Lavonne welcomed their son, Bruce. From there Earl and the family moved to a base in San Diego, California, where they welcomed their son Alan into the world. Finally, Earl was discharged from the Navy and moved his family back to Sheridan, WY, where they completed their family with two more sons, Ron and Gary.
Earl moved on to become a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. He carried mail in Sheridan until 1979, when he moved his wife and two younger boys to Tucson, Arizona. He retired in 1992 after 32 years of delivering mail. In 2017, Earl and Lavonne move to Worland, WY to live with their son Alan and Ialene. Earl had many hobbies including camping, fishing, traveling, leatherwork and woodworking.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lavonne in 2020; son, Gary, and grandson, Toby.
Survivors include Bruce (Sue) Dangel of Casper, Wyoming, Alan (Ialene) Dangel of Worland, Wyoming, Ron Dangel of Phoenix, Arizona; Grandchildren Dezire Kiser, Deidria Ortega, Pam, Robert, Madeline, Richard, Crystal and Rory Dangel; and 14 great-grandchildren.
