Earl was born in Billings, Montana to his parents, Earl Thomas Davis, Sr. and Elaine Richardson Davis. When he was a few days old he and his parents moved to Portland, Oregon. On his fourth birthday the family began the trip across the USA from Oregon to Columbus, GA. This was home for several years and where he received his formal education. He is a graduate of Hardaway High School class of 1975. After high school, he took a radio broadcasting course in Atlanta, GA and received his Federal Broadcasting certificate. Next, he studied to be a car salesman and worked five years in Atlanta and Columbus.

Earl became a follower of Christ at an early age of nine. He was active in Waldrop Memorial Baptist Church his first eighteen years. He believes in the Lord and Jesus.

Forty years ago, he moved to Harris County, Hamilton area and worked for his dad in several endeavors. In 2003, he and his dad founded the Davis & Son Recycling Metals on US Highway 27 at the old Elbeck Corn Mill property which they still operated. Earl was not able to work steady the past three years because of health problems.

Earl loved the outdoors and dam on Mulberry Creek of Davis and Son property. He loved animals, especially dogs. Mr. Beam was his favorite and belonged to him for over fifteen years.

Earl is survived by his loving parents, Earl Davis, Sr. and Elaine Davis, his sister Jane and husband James H. Gartner, nephew Mitchell Gartner and wife Julia, aunts, uncles, many cousins, and many friends that he was loyal to and helped when possible. His family is thankful for James "Fireball" MacFairlane, who helped take care of his dogs and him. Thank you for your prayers.
