Earl Johnson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beckman-Williamson Funeral Homes & Crematory - Viera on Apr. 8, 2025.
Earl Pyle Johnson Jr. (EJ), born on June 12, 1971, in Towson, Maryland, passed away on March 30, 2025, at his home in Cocoa, Florida.
Though his family and friends wish EJ had more time, EJ lived a life rich in experience and travel, making many friends along the way. EJ attended Boys Latin High School in Towson, Maryland, before moving to North Carolina to attend Elon College. He later embarked on an adventure to Hawaii to study at the University of Hawaii. In his twenties, EJ moved to Tampa Bay, Florida, where he fell in love with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his thirties, he moved to Melbourne, Florida, to be closer to family, however, he also found his work family. EJ was a long-time manager of two local favorites, Meg O'Malley's and Hemingway's Tavern. He spent his final year in Cocoa, Florida, living just down the street from his sister, Susan.
EJ loved good food, good music, and good company. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and going to concerts. He knew how to make people laugh and his own infectious laugh will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of hearing it.
EJ is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Peggy Parsons Johnson. He is survived and missed by his father, Earl Johnson; his sisters, Susan Naumann and Laura Krauss; and his brothers-in-law, Rich Krauss and Roger Naumann, who felt more like brothers than brothers-in-law to EJ. Additionally, EJ is survived by his nieces and nephew, Amanda Krauss, Richard Krauss, Francesca Naumann, and Grace Naumann, along with his new great-nephew, Sawyer, whom he met for the first time this past Christmas. His nieces and nephew will truly miss their dear Uncle EJ and his embarrassing stories about their parents.
It is with heavy heart we say, rest easy, EJ. We love and miss you more than words can express.
