Earl Melvin Joseph, 73, of Owasso, Oklahoma, formerly of Lisbon, Ohio, passed away on May 21, 2025. He was born on January 28, 1952, in Salem, Ohio.
Earl joined the U.S. Navy at 18 and served four years during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he built a long career as a laboratory technician with Amoco Oil, where he worked for 25 years. He later became a licensed home inspector and built a successful business in Owasso, Oklahoma.
In 1975, he met Judy Boyd, and they were inseparable for the next 50 years together. Earl was passionate about cars - especially street rods - and spent much of his time restoring and showing them.
Earl was a memorable character, full of stories - often at his own expense. His laugh was infectious and he had a way of charming nurses, waitstaff, and just about anyone else with his signature dimples and grin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Donis Joseph. He is survived by his wife Judy; son Rich and daughter-in-law Stacy; grandsons Richie and Joey; sisters Rita Shaw and Lori McDonald; and many longtime friends.
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Earl's name can be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
