Earl Morgan Wright

September 2, 1950 – August 14, 2025

Earl Morgan Wright, 74, of Rising Star, Texas, formerly of San Diego, California, passed away tragically on August 14, 2025. Born and raised in San Diego to Earl and Planet Wright, Earl lived a life devoted to family, faith, and service to others.

Earl was married to the love of his life, Sandra Hardesty Wright, and together they built a home filled with love and faith. He is survived by his children, Stacey, Heather, and Michael Wright, as well as his foster daughters, Manuela, Jane, and Julia Castor. Earl was a proud grandfather to Dakota and Cheyenne Harding, Annalise Hill, and Christian and Paige Wright, and a cherished great-grandfather to Gracelynn, Everly, Rhyker, Pacey, Michael, Bennett, and Dilila Harding.

He had many passions in life, including singing and acting, but his greatest joy was raising and guiding children. A natural leader in the church, Earl inspired countless young people to follow God and pursue lives of service. His gift for teaching and encouragement helped shape future generations of Christian leaders, a legacy that will continue to shine through the lives he touched.

Earl's career reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. He began with San Diego Transit and later retired from Enbridge Oil in Cross Plains, Texas. No matter where he worked, Earl carried with him integrity, kindness, and a heart for community.

Earl's unexpected passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his family and friends. Due to recent injuries and illnesses within the family, memorial service arrangements will be announced at a later date.

He will always be remembered as a man of faith, strength, and compassion-a guiding light for his family, his church, and the many children whose lives he so deeply impacted.
