Earlene Gibson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Laird Funeral Home on Oct. 8, 2024.
Memorial visitation for Earlene Gibson, 85, of Nacogdoches will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Laird Funeral Home.
Earlene was a simple woman who loved her family without boundaries. She was a mother who would go beyond simple actions to ensure the happiness and stability of her sons. She loved each of them dearly and was never happier than when she was surrounded by them and their families.
Earlene was born in Hugo, Oklahoma on October 20, 1938, the daughter of Paul Leonard and Orpha Mae Abney. She passed from her earthly life on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. During her years here in Nacogdoches, she worked in the healthcare industry for many years and retired from Oak Manor Nursing Home after 15 years of service. She loved flowers and later in her life, she developed a passion for dancing which led her to spending many enjoyable evenings at the local VFW post, surrounded by friends that she loved like family.
Earlene is survived by her sons, Larry Williams, Kenny Hodges and Wiley Hodges; grandchildren, Johnathon Hodges & wife, Jana, James Hodges, Nathan Hodges, Nicholas Hodges and Savannah Hodges and great grandchild, Dean Hodges.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, James Williams, Wiley Gerald Hodges and Buddy Gibson; son, Leonard Williams and wife, Sandra and her brother, Leonard Abney.
