Earlene Theroux Obituary

CHARLESTOWN, RI- It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Earlene Janice Theroux, 84, who left us peacefully on Tuesday, November 11th surrounded by her family. Earlene was a beloved wife, mother, and friend, whose warmth and spirit touched the lives of many.

Earlene is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Robert Theroux, her cherished children, Joseph Throux (Andrea Theroux) of Charlestown, Peter Throux (Stephanie Theroux) of Saunderstown, Janice Throux (Mike O'Grady) of South Kingstown and Julie Daly (Paul Daly) of Narragansett, grandchildren Jonathan Throux, Marie Candiotti, Robert Throux, Gabriella Theroux, Nicolette Throux, Ariana Silander, Phillip Theroux, Jack O'Grady, Katherine Daly, Kyle O'Grady and Meghan Daly along with four great-grandchildren.

Earlene Theroux, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of deep faith was a lifelong resident of Rhode Island, Earlene's life was defined by her steadfast devotion to God, her family, and her community.

For 31 years, Earlene faithfully served as the secretary for St. Mary's Parish in Charlestown, RI, where she was a cherished member of the church family and a comforting presence to all who entered its doors. Prior to her work at St. Mary's, she was the secretary at The Prout School for seven years and also served as a teacher's aide at Lily Pads Kindergarten and Nursery Catholic School, administered by the Sisters of the Cross and Passion. Her work in Catholic education and parish life reflected her deep faith and her commitment to serving others with grace, kindness, and humility.

Earlene was a woman of many talents. A gifted artist and seamstress, she found

joy in creating beautiful things with her hands. She loved to cook and took great pride in preparing meals for her family, especially during birthdays and holidays. She made these occasions truly special with her warmth and creativity.

Her greatest joy, however, was her family. Earlene was the heart and matriarch of her family, steadfast, loving, and always present. She took immense pride in being an involved grandmother, attending her grandchildren's birthdays, graduations, recitals, plays, and sporting events. Her unwavering support and boundless love touched every generation of her family and will be forever cherished.

Earlene will be remembered for her faith-filled heart, her selfless devotion, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness and example. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.
