Eddie Junior Hamrick, age 85, of Vale, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024. He was born March 19, 1939, in Cleveland County, to the late Oscar Leroy Hamrick and Anna Agnes Watts. Eddie was a member of Free Holiness Church, and he enjoyed attending church. He also loved being outdoors. Eddie was formerly employed with La-Z-Boy furniture and dedicated 25 years to Cornwell Brothers Painting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred Hamrick, and Clyde Hemrick.
Survivors include his children, Edward Lee Hamrick, Chris Hamrick, Shane Hamrick, and Shanaree Harmick; sisters, Mary Kell, and Betty Hager (Bob); close friend, Jerry Bolick; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Carpenter-Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Ronald Lackey officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 PM, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Free Holiness Church Cemetery.
