Eddie Roy Hill Jr.

Eddie Roy Hill Jr., formerly known to family and friends as "Junebug", was born February 2, 1959 in Seattle, Washington. He was the son of Eddie R. Hill and Lenora Pettit and 1 of 5 children. He was a man that wore many hats: a father, son, brother, uncle, best friend. The list can go on.
In his early childhood, his parents moved to Yakima,Washington. He attended AC Davis High School where he was a talented athlete. You could find him on a field, court or track as he was excelling in football, basketball, track and baseball. He received a football scholarship and after graduation he moved to California to attend Pepperdine University.
During his life, he worked for the city of Seattle for a dedicated 26 years before retiring. In his free time he loved to be with his family and friends. He loved taking all the nieces, nephews and grandkids and piling them up in his truck to drive around looking for another adventure. One of his favorite things to do was throw BBQ parties for all to attend – always making others smile with his humble service. He had a generous soul and never hesitated to help others in their time of need.
He was best known for always cracking jokes and always making sure others smiled even when they felt they couldn't. He could sing and dance in a way that you can remember forever. We'll always have a piece of Junebug in our hearts every time "his" songs come on the radio. He never forgot a name or face and never took for granted the blessing it was to be of a large family with great support and love.
Eddie is survived by his sisters, Brenda (Candy) Jones, Angela Singleton, Brother Randy Hill, Shawn Hill, and his daughters Hannah Sobel and Gianna. Along with his beloved 12 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Eddie R. Hill and Lenora Pettit, his Uncle Norman McBain and Step-dad Donald Pettit.
