Eddie Holland, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at his residence. Eddie was born in Ludowici on February 8, 1950 and had lived in Long and Tattnall County most of his life until moving to Claxton.
Eddie was a truck driver for EK Jenkins Logging and was also a long haul truck driver. He enjoyed watching westerns and the news. He was a member of Pigot Branch Missionary Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his mother, Doris McKinney; his son, Stacy Holland and his siblings, Lannie McKinney and Mary Stubbs.
He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Ann and Wayne Strickland of Vidalia; father, John David McKinney; his siblings, Sue (Mac) Gibson, Betty (James) Speagle, Linda (Gary) Brown, David (Ashley) McKinney, John (Kristy) Hamilton all of North Carolina and Ricky (Eva) Wilson of Mendes; grandchildren, Madison (Alex) Reynolds and Dalton Terrell; 2 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends beginning at noon on Friday, July 25, 2025 with the funeral services to follow at 1:00pm from the Chapel of the Glennville Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Pigot Branch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glennville Funeral Home.
