Eddie Lee Mason

Eddie Lee Mason, 82, of Carrollton, Georgia, entered his Heavenly home on Friday, August 15, 2025. Born on May 6, 1943, to the late Oliver and Maggie Mason, Eddie lived a life marked by faith, hard work, music, and deep love for his family and community.

Eddie was an ordained minister who faithfully served as pastor of Faith Tabernacle in Newnan, Georgia, for over 20 years. He poured his heart into preaching God's Word and shepherding his congregation with kindness and humility. Beyond the pulpit, he dedicated his working life to the auto sales industry and became well known as a meticulous auto detailer at Don Rich Ford, where his steady hands and strong work ethic left a lasting mark.

A gifted musician, Eddie had the rare ability to play by ear and found joy in the piano, guitar, and organ. Whether leading worship or simply filling his home with music, he used his talents to bring joy and comfort to those around him.

To the children who attended his wife Camilla's daycare, he was lovingly known as "PawPaw." With his gentle spirit, warm smile, and patient presence, Eddie became a grandfather figure to countless little ones. His family was the center of his life.

He leaves behind his devoted wife of many years, Camilla Smith Mason; his daughter and son-in-law, Veronica and Rob Holtzclaw; his son, Marcus Mason; his beloved grandchildren, Alexandria Mason and Caleb Mason; his sister, Annie Ruth Barber; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved him dearly. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and 14 siblings, who now welcome him into eternal rest.

Family and friends will gather to honor Eddie's life at a memorial service on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Mount Holly Church. A wake will be held the evening before, Friday, August 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home.

Eddie Mason will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his musical gifts, and the countless ways he quietly served others. His legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the blessing of knowing him.
