Preston Head Obituary

Preston Jason "PJ" Head, 24, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on August 16, 2025. He was born on November 17, 2000, a bright soul whose presence touched the lives of everyone around him.

PJ lived life with an open heart and an adventurous spirit. From the time he was just two years old, skateboarding became his passion and a part of who he was, fearless, free, and always chasing joy. He loved music deeply and was often found singing, sharing his voice in a way that lifted the spirits of those nearby. PJ had a gift for making people laugh; his quick wit, humor, and smile could light up a room and ease even the heaviest of days.

He carried a love for animals and a deep devotion to the people who meant the most to him, his family. Among the people who meant the most to him in life were his eleven siblings, who were not only his family but his closest friends. To them, PJ was more than a brother; he was a confidant, a friend, and a source of endless laughter and love.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Darrell Head; mother and stepfather, Tabitha and William Brown; bonus-parents, Pete and Heather Myers; paternal grandmother, Sandra Head; maternal grandparents, Michael and Brenda Cagle; and the love of his life, Cora Lanzo, along with her son, Onyx, whom PJ adored. He will also be deeply missed by his twin sister, Payton Head and her significant other, Dylan Smith; his siblings, Tyler & Bridget Bruce, Santania & Cameron Clayton, Taylor Bruce & Caleb Bidinger, Chandler Myers, Silas & Brittany Myers, Noah Myers, Titus Myers, Hannah Myers, Emma & Isaac Dubreuiel, and Levi Myers; as well as his nieces and nephews, Landon, Kinsley, Mazlyn, Nayvie, Callum, Isla, Kyler, Maddox, Krislyn, Addie, and Christian.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandfather, James Head; maternal great-grandmother, Bertha Faye Loudermilk; and beloved nephew, Ezra Myers.

The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. A service celebrating PJ's life will follow at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Martin & Hightower, with Tim Buchanan and Pete Myers officiating. He will be laid to rest at Rotherwood Church Cemetery, with Chandler Myers, Silas Myers, Noah Myers, Titus Myers, Dylan Smith, and Caleb Bidinger serving as pallbearers.

More than anything, PJ will be remembered for his laughter, his fearless love for life, and the way he made those around him feel truly seen and cared for. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Messages of love and condolences may be shared with the family at www.martin-hightower.com. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel is honored to care for Preston and his family during this time.
