Mr. Eddie Derell “Dub” McCoy of Hartsville, South Carolina was born to Linda McCoy and the late Eddie Ray McCoy on December 27, 1976, in Hartsville, South Carolina located in Darlington County. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, October 1, 2022.
Eddie attended the Public Schools of Darlington County and was a graduate of Hartsville High School Class of 1995. He later gained higher education at Florence - Darlington Technical School in Florence, South Carolina.
Eddie was employed with A. O. Smith Manufacturing Company for four years, at the time of his demise, where he was a dedicated hard worker.
Eddie was joined in holy matrimony to Rennie Adell McManus-McCoy on November 24, 2012, and this union was blessed with six children.
Eddie affectionately called “Dub” a man of great integrity was the life of the party. He was an avid San Francisco 49er football fan, loved his children wholeheartedly, hard worker, very helpful to others, and good person that listened to your concerns. He took pride at perfecting window tinting.
Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Ray McCoy; and a son, Rashad McCoy.
Eddie leaves to cherish his precious memories; his wife, Rennie Adell McManus-McCoy; five children, De’Asia McCoy, Ke’Arius McCoy, Aytiana McCoy, Jah’Zarrius McCoy, and Nizeria McCoy; a granddaughter, Harmony McCoy; his mother, Linda McCoy; five siblings, Titus McCoy, Louise Smith, Crystal Brown, Shanic Best, and Sharita Best; five nephews, Azavier McCoy; Taeveonn Thomas, Darrius Thomas, Timaar Bishop, and Azariyon McCoy; two nieces, Norrionn Thomas and Te’Asia Best; his father-in-law, Barney (Yvonne) Dailey; his mother-in-law, Lydell (Billy) Boyce; one-brother-in-law, Christopher McManus; five sister-in-law, Ivory (Eric) Bierbrauer, Monique Boyce, Chasity Boyce, Cherise Dailey, and Nathelyn (James) Johnson; two special uncles, Eddie Ray Best and Eddie Reese Best; three special aunts, Mary Ann Bishop, Mae Alice Lighty, and Teresa Davis; two special cousins, Tommy Alford and Cedric McCoy; six special friends, Tiwancia Benjamin, Kendra Peterson, Latisha Peterson, Demond Hines, Timothy Bishop, and Latreka Hawkins; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Family visitation will be held at the home of his aunts, Teresa Davis, 621 Evergreen Lane, Hartsville, South Carolina and Mary Ann Bess, 214 McQueen Road, Hartsville, South Carolina. Due to COVID -19 Mask are required.
