My Dear Father when you was able to talk to me I promise I would see everything through for you. I know you are proud of me . I understand now what you went through. You use to tell me every body problems would be at your front door. Now you are at a new home be at peace. I will always miss and love you.

To the immediate family,
I send my deepest condolences. The Eddie Pearson I knew growing up was a respectful, humble man who carried himself with quiet dignity. He didn´t need to be the loudest in the room to make an impact-he just showed up with love, always.
Now, I´ll be honest-some of what was said at his homegoing service left me shocked, disappointed, and honestly, mad. Today was supposed to be about honoring a good man, not a stage for messy, tasteless remarks that had no place there. People really need to learn the difference between grief and a moment to grandstand.
Eddie deserved better than that. And let´s be clear-he was loved, by many. And he will always be remembered for who he really was.
Brian, Gina-hold your heads high. Keep walking in truth. Your father is proud of you, and so are the rest of us who truly knew him.
With all due respect and a full heart,
Joann

Unk,
After seeing you at Aunt Maxine´s retirement party and catching up, I realized just how long it´s been since we´ve had time to really sit and talk. Thinking back, I remember growing up and getting my first job during 10th and 11th grade working at the Montgomery County trash company. My mom told you and Uncle Marty to give me a job, and I ended up working with Uncle Eddie, Uncle Maurice, and Reds Morris. Man, those guys worked me hard!
I´ll never forget those Friday nights-watching them all pull up in their hot rides. I couldn´t wait to get over to Grandma´s on Fridays just to be part of the vibe. You´d be getting ready to head out to race, then off to the Swing Inn. When I finally got old enough to go to the Swing Inn myself, I´d see all the guys come in on Fridays after racing-Uncle Eddie, Brother Fred, Danny Bug, Man, and God. They had some serious cars! That was a real highlight in my life.
One funny memory I´ll never forget-one night at the Swing Inn, I was down by the Hollow with Bill King and Freddy. They were messing around, trying to double-team me. Uncle Eddie came around the corner, saw what was going on, walked straight over to Scotty´s, grabbed a 55-gallon trash can full of garbage, and tossed the whole thing down the hill at Bill King. I was shocked! From that day on, I wanted to be just as strong and bold as you guys.
Those Friday nights at Grandma´s, watching everyone get ready to go racing-especially Danny Bug-I couldn´t keep up with it all, but I loved every moment. I remember when I got my hands on this camera of a ´67 with big tires and a big motor. I called you to come check it out. You came by, and I got down in front of that bus. You told me to warm up those tires. I laid into it, let off on a jet break, and that thing slapped me back in the seat. I flew up that hill and barely got it stopped! You were cracking up, and I couldn´t tell if you were impressed or just knew what was coming. Either way, that was the first time I really felt what it meant to be "in it." I was just trying to show you something.
Uncle Eddie, I know we talked about getting that Harley out this summer. I know you got tired of waiting on me. But I promise you-I´m gonna ride that Harley as long as I can. I´m gonna ride it like someone´s chasing me. I´m gonna race it like I´ve been racing it, and I´ll be thinking of you every mile.
Rest in peace, Uncle E.

Pops,
Being your firstborn was a blessing I´ll always be proud of. You taught me strength, responsibility, and how to move through life with quiet confidence.
Regardless of what others may think or assume, the love and communication between us was always there. We didn´t need to prove it-we knew it, and that was enough.
Thank you for everything. Your wisdom, your presence, and your love will stay with me always. Rest easy, Pops.

Eddie and I shared two wonderful children together, Brian and Regina. Although we went our separate ways, we always remained great friends throughout the years.
Even though I was no longer legally part of the family, they always treated me as if I still was-and for that, I am forever grateful.
I will always remember Eddie with love and respect. May he rest peacefully, knowing that his legacy lives on through our children and grandchildren.
With love,
Maxine Pearson

Grandpa my Grandpa,
Your presence in our lives meant more than words can say. Though some may not have seen every moment we shared, the bond we had was real. I´ll always cherish our Sunday talks-those were our moments, full of love, wisdom, and connection.
Your legacy lives on through your children, Brian and Regina, and through every grandchild and great-grandchild who carries a piece of you in them. You will never be forgotten, and your impact runs deeper than some may ever understand.
Love always,
Yvette

My Long Time friend and Brother in law, You will always have a "Special" place in my heart. Was such a pleasure to see you after so many years at Maxine´s Celebration. Always thought of you as a "brother " been knowing you so long. Fussing and disagreeing and then making up. All those memories come to mind. Always one of the "Good Guys". May all his memories be a Blessing to his loved ones, Friends and Family.
