Rockport – Eddie Pettegrew went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2024. She was 88.
Eddie was born on July 19, 1936 to Gertrude (Miller) and Gilbert Dietrich in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She touched so many lives in so many ways. Her spunky humorous crazy nature and infectious smile lit up any room. Even in the end she was smiling. To say she was a blessing is a small statement for such a wonderful mom, grandma and friend. She was joyful till the very end and passed in peace. Eddie will be missed by all who knew her.
Eddie is preceded in death by her parents: Gilbert and Gertrude Dietrich; brother: Gilbert Dietrich.
Survivors include her sons: Gil Pettegrew (Cindy) from Camano Island, Washington and Curt Pettegrew (Dione) from Plano, Texas; Daughter: Brooke Turner from Rockport, Texas; grandchildren: Benjamin Pettegrew (Sonja) from Lake Stevens, Washington, Grant Pettegrew (Andrea) from Parker, Colorado, Wade Banister (Lorainne) from Havasu, Arizona, Luke Banister (Piper) from Wanatchee, Washington, Marshall Turner (Mindy) from Birmingham, Alabama and Shannon Turner (Tim Gavin) from Rockport, Texas; great-grandchildren: Blake Pettegrew from Lake Stevens, Washington, Paige Pettegrew, Zoey Pettegrew, Connor Pettegrew and Maisie Pettegrew all from Parker, Colorado.
Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 2, 2024, 11:00 AM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass.
