Eddie Lee Stinnett returned to his loving Heavenly Father and his Savior Jesus Christ, who welcomed him home with open arms, on September 17, 2025. He was born on April 14, 1961, in Springfield, Ohio, to William and Winifred Stinnett. Eddie’s journey led him to Utah, where he played football for Brigham Young University, a chapter that shaped his life in profound ways. It was there he met his beautiful wife, Julie Stinnett. They were married on February 1, 1986, and were sealed for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple on May 18, 2019. After several years and the efforts of several missionaries he was finally brought to the waters of baptism on April 13th 2017. Eddie dedicated his life to uplifting troubled youth. Whether in schools, detention centers, or through personal connections, his passion for service shone brightly. He saw the divine potential in every soul and worked tirelessly to help them find their path, leaving a legacy of compassion and hope. He directed his competitive nature to the golf course. He was an avid and fierce competitor. He also enjoyed staying active by detailing cars, camping, fishing, and looking after his dogs. Above all, his passion, his love, and his prize was his family which he loved dearly.
Survived by: Wife Julie Stinnett. 2 sons Eddie Stinnett Jr. and Ricky Stinnett
