PEABODY - Eddy Rafael Collado Mena, 36 of Peabody, beloved companion of Marleny Abreu, passed away as a result of a motor vehicle accident, on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024.
Born in Jaraboca, Dominican Republic, he is the son of Jacqueline Mena and Eddy Collado. He was raised in the Dominican Republic until he was 4 years old when he immigrated to the United States, settling in Peabody. Eddy attended Peabody public schools and was a graduate of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School.
Eddy was a machinist by trade and had been employed by American Sweeping for several years and also was employed at Champions Pub in Peabody as a cook, a job he really enjoyed.
A loving and devoted family man, Eddy's family came first, he worked hard every day to support and provide for them. His greatest joy were his children and he was happiest when surrounded by them and most proud of their accomplishments and milestones. He was friendly, kind with an easy smile that endeared him to many. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends and all the hearts he touched along the way.
In addition to his partner, Marleny Abreu of Peabody, his parents, Jacqueline Mena of Hollis, NY and Eddy Collado of Beverly, Eddy is survived by his children, Jordanny Collado Abreu, Idanny Collado Abreu, and Jordann Collado Abreu, all of Peabody, his siblings, Rosaury Collado of Queens, NY, Nikaury Collado of Queens, NY Edwin Collado Caceres of the Dominican Republic.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral Mass which will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, Chestnut St., Peabody (Please meet at church) on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024 at 9 A.M. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Visiting hours at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 5 to 8 P.M. Eddy Rafael Collado Mena, 36 años de Peabody, querido compañero de Marleny Abreu, falleció a consecuencia de un accidente automovilístico, el miércoles 19 de junio de 2024.
Nacido en Jaraboca, República Dominicana, es hijo de Jacqueline Mena y Eddy Collado. Se crió en República Dominicana hasta los 4 años cuando emigró a los Estados Unidos, radicándose en Peabody. Eddy asistió a las escuelas públicas de Peabody y se graduó de la escuela secundaria Peabody Veterans Memorial.
Eddy era maquinista de profesión y había trabajado en American Sweeping durante varios años y también trabajaba en Champions Pub en Peabody como cocinero, un trabajo que realmente disfrutaba.
Un hombre de familia cariñoso y devoto, la familia de Eddy era lo primero, él trabajaba duro todos los días para apoyarlos y sustentarlos.
