CAPE CORAL, FLORIDA - George A. Desjardins Jr., 43, died unexpectedly on December 6th, 2024 in Cape Coral, Florida. He was the beloved son of George A. and Mary E. (Ryan) Desjardins, and faithful brother of Emily Desjardins and her spouse, Vickie Shalian. He also leaves his niece and godchild, Joella, and his cherished partner, Bobbi Jo Bauman. He was the grandson of the late Conrad and Marguerite Desjardins and Dr. James T. and Ann J. Ryan.
George was a 2000 graduate of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School and North Shore Community College, where he earned dual associate degrees in Food Science and Culinary Arts. He worked in the food quality assurance industry for companies including Home Brand Foods, Kayem and Coca-Cola.
George was an accomplished golfer who played for Peabody High School and closely followed the career of Tiger Woods. He was an outstanding cook who enjoyed researching new recipes on the Food Channel to prepare meals for family and friends. He was devoted to his family and had a special relationship with his Nana Ryan.
George is also survived by lifelong friends Dennis Magarian, Matthew Hanson and Milton Pacheco, as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: George's funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St., Peabody on Friday, December 27th at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to please meet directly at church. Interment will be private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) SALEM. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory can be made to the Homeless Outreach or St. Vincent de Paul program c/o St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St., Peabody, MA 01960.
