Edgar (Eddie) Oliver McAfee, 50, passed away February 11, 2024, in Lubbock, TX. He was born October 2, 1973, to Lloyd Hugh and Margaret Diane (Woods) McAfee, in Lancaster, CA. Eddie furthered his education by attending Angelo State, transferring to Texas Tech University, and graduating, in 1995, with his bachelor’s degree in nursing. Eddie worked as a registered Nurse for Covenant Medical Center and Grace Clinic. He married Stacy Sherman in 2022. Eddie enjoyed traveling with his wife, watching nascar, spending time with family and friends, but most of all, he was a Texas Tech fan.
Eddie was preceded in death by two sets of grandparents, Warren and Betty McAfee, and R.V. and Dorthy Woods, and his father and mother, Lloyd and Diane (Woods) McAfee. Those remaining to cherish his memories are his wife, Stacy McAfee, his children, Tyler Riddle and Leslie Riddle, grandson Boston Riddle, brother, Robert McAfee, nephew Broderick McAfee, mother-in-law Sherry Plummer, and many aunts/uncles, cousins, and friends that he considered family.
The family of Edgar “Eddie” Oliver McAfee will honor and celebrate his life with a celebration of life service, at 10:00AM, Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Combest Family Memorial Chapel, 2210 Broadway Lubbock. Arrangements were entrusted to Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lubbock.
