Edith Sheryl Helms, 77, of Palatka passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital following a brief illness.
Edith was a native of Norfolk, Virgina and was a 1962 graduate of Ocala High School. She had been a resident of Palatka for 49 years coming from Moore Haven, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hallie Ward Mizelle and Edith Mazelle Jones.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Bill Helms; three daughters, Jeanne Humphrey, Gwen Edenfield, and Melissa Lockridge; a sister, Jean Lyles; five grandchildren, Richard Breckow, Katie Humphrey, Dylan Judd, Breanna Darrin, and Zoey Moody; and a niece and a nephew.
A service will be 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11th at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka. The family will begin receiving friends one hour prior to the start of the service. A committal service at the mausoleum will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Highland Memorial Park in Ocala.
