Edith Marlow Obituary
Mrs. Marlow owned and operated Edith's Beauty Salon, where she served her family and friends for many years. She was a master seamstress and a caregiver to her family and others. Mrs. Marlow loved flowers and was a major encourager to everyone she encountered. She was a longtime, faithful member of Tallapoosa Primitive Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Chester Franklin Marlow; son, Rega Alan Marlow; and sisters, Joyce McKibben and Faye Lainer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters & sons-in-law, Sandra & Joe Hendricks and Shelia & John Hoggle; brother, Troy Lee; sisters, Myra Denney, Jean White, and Helen Acree; sister-in-law, Ima Dell Gentry; grandchildren, Leigh & David Glosson, Sandie & David Taylor, and Anise & Erik Heger; eight great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Elder James Blair officiating. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: David Glosson, Erik Heger, Caleb Heger, Josh Teel, Zach Benefield, and Drew Palmer. Phil White, Dennis Marlow, Barry Lee, David Denney, Alan Lee, Scott Lanier, Randy Gentry, Ricky Arthur, David Taylor, Robin McKibben, Greg McKibben, Kevin Lee, Alex Blair, and Lance Acree will be seated as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM.
