Edith (Connie) Louise Pitts, 79, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on January 10, 2026, at her home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Edith was born on September 9, 1946, to James and Armentha Josephine (Ivey) Pitts in Supply, Arkansas.
Edith was an avid reader, gardener, and animal lover. She devoted many years of her life taking care of her brother. She was giving and kind and will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
Edith is survived by daughter, Shirley Persons; grandchildren, Kara (Chris) Wright, Kyle (Tiffany) Persons; great grandchildren, Daxon and Lily Wright, Kase, Chandler, and Demi Persons; brother, William (Pat) Pitts of Illinois and many nieces and nephews. Her caregiver and friend, Lisa.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, James and Armentha; daughter, Rhonda Jo Emerson; siblings, Leonard Ash, James Matthew Pitts, Jerry Pitts, John Pitts, Wesley Rogers, Alice Young, and Frankie Phillips.
