Edith Marian Plemmons, 93, of Franklin, NC, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025. She was born May 31, 1932, in Jackson County, NC to the late Herman and Bertha Donna Gillespie Plemmons.
Miss Plemmons earned her Master's Degree and was a teacher for the Macon County School System for many years. She was a member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, where she played the organ, she also played the organ for Morrison Presbyterian Church. Miss Plemmons loved music and learned to play the organ when she was fourteen years old. She also loved crossword puzzles and cross-stitching, and she was very well loved by everyone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Plemmons, infant sister, Donna Plemmons, and nephew, Paul Lee Plemmons, Jr., who died in 2018.
Miss Plemmons is survived by her nieces, Rita Winfield, Abigail Plemmons and Sarah Plemmons.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Newfound Baptist Church in Leicester, NC, with Dr. Tommy Jordan officiating.
