Edith Whittington Sullivan, 92 years old, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 24, 2025. She entered this world on November 13, 1933, born to Bertie and Clarence Whittington, in Ville Platte, LA.
Edith is survived by her three children, Judy Breaud and husband Jerry Breaud, Debra Hayes and husband Tommy Hayes, and Marsha Clark. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Daryl Hayes, Charla Hayes Budde, Adam Hayes, Melissa Breaud Green, Jeremy Breaud, Monica Sullivan Reid, and Erica Sullivan; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; 1 sister, Clarity Tuttle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Sullivan, Jr.; and parents, Clarence and Bertie Oller Whittington; 6 sisters; and 2 brothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA on Monday, January 5th, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the religious services begin at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. Gary Richerson. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker, LA.
Pallbearers will be Daryl Hayes, Adam Hayes, Jeremy Breaud, Corey Green, Mark Reid, and Thomas Budde.
