Edmund L. Mackiewicz, 85 of Perrysburg, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at home surrounded with the love of his family. He was born June 27, 1938 to Stanley and Jessie (Buczek) Mackiewicz in Toledo, Ohio.
After proudly serving his country in the Army, Ed worked for his uncle, Leo Buczek, who owned United Window. He moved on to the trades, as an ironworker. Ed then moved his family to Gambier Ohio and owned the Village Inn Restaurant and Bar. There he made many memories with the students of Kenyon College and his best friend, Jim Zak. The family then moved to Boulder Colorado for a short while and returned to Ohio and he joined Ironworkers Local 55 and life in Perrysburg began. Ed loved Perrysburg and was a daily visitor at Petrol Point to play his pick 3 numbers and frequently was seen at the library. He enjoyed reading, golf and watching his grandchildrens sporting events. He was a very generous man and donated to many organizations monthly.
Edmund is survived by his loving wife Phyllis (LaCourse) Mackiewicz; son Ed Mackiewicz (Kathy Despoth) ; son Scott (Beverly) Mackiewicz; son James (Mia) Mackiewicz and daughter Lisa (Jon) Eckel; Grandchildren, Austin, Alex, Andrew, Jessie, Madison, Scott, Jonathon, Jacob, Joel and Cassie; Great Grandchildren Jack and Emma James; brother James Mackiewicz and sister Pat Cheney. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Hobbs.

Indiana Ave. Perrysburg, OH 43551), St. Jude Children's Hospital (501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105), or Hospice of Northwest Ohio (30000 E. River Rd. Perrysburg, OH 43551).
