Edna Lafern Bolin, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, departed this world on June 26, 2025, at the age of 89, with her loving family by her side in Oak Grove, Missouri. Born on April 15, 1936, in Strafford, Missouri, Edna's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, music, and joyful memories.

Edna was a woman of many passions. She had a love for singing and listening to country music, often filling her home and the hearts of those around her with the sounds of her favorite tunes. She was a skilled crocheter and her enthusiasm for jigsaw puzzles brought a unique joy to her days, as each piece represented a moment of calm and satisfaction.

Her adventurous spirit was evident in her love for travel and motorcycle rides, pursuits that brought her immense joy and a sense of freedom. These moments not only enriched her life but also created lasting memories that her family will cherish forever.

At the heart of Edna's life was her deep commitment to family, which she held as her proudest accomplishment. She leaves behind a legacy in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Edna's generous and caring nature nurtured bonds that will endure beyond her time. She is survived by her children, Diana (Dennis) Stoppelmoor, Cathy Kelley, Cynthia (Kenneth) Rust, Manford (Sherry) Smith, Jr, Gregory (Ginny) Pippin; stepchildren, Phyllis Clark, M. Scott (Stephanie) Smith, Joe Bolin, Cleyella Bolin; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sister, Alma “Fay” Henderson. She is preceded in death by her, parents, Dossie Elmer and Alberta (Akin)Trogdon; husbands, James Pippin, Manford Smith, Cleytus “CW” Bolin; son, Mark Smith; stepsons, Michael Smith and Martin Smith; son in law, Henry L. Kelly III; grandson, James Allen Pippin; siblings, Clara Wilson, Mildred Mathis, Wilma Brandenburg, Dean Trogdon, Viola Dudley.

A visitation will be held in her honor on July 1, 2025, at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri, starting at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Her journey will conclude with a burial at Mound Grove Cemetery following services.

Edna Lafern Bolin will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love for those around her, and the joy she brought to life. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the blessings of a life well-lived and the love of family that transcends all.
