Edna Faye Davis Bourquine, 81, of Barney, died on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. She was born on March 8, 1944, in Brunswick, GA, to the late Joe and Jewell Herrin Davis. She was a retired Home Health Care Aide with Moultrie Hospital and was a member of Barney First Baptist Church where she had served as treasurer.
Mrs. Bourquine is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Tammy Bourquine of Barney, Kevin and Michelle Bourquin of Atlanta, and Stacy and Rebecca Bourquine of Baxley; grandchildren and their spouses, Shain and Lindsey Nowland, Caleb and Destiny Nowland, Ryan and Kayla Nowland, Alexis Bourquine, Emma Bourquine, Lily Bourquine, and Edith Bourquine; great-grandchildren, Jensen Nowland, John Nowland, Saylor Nowland, Peyton Nowland, Brooklyn Nowland, Jordyn Nowland, Greyson Nowland, Lincoln Nowland, and Magnolia Mae Nowland; her siblings, Jeanette Davis, Joe Davis and Iris Aspinwall. She was preceded by her husband Hardy Bourquine; her son, Glenn Bourquine; sister and brother-in-law, Sonja and Curtis Tatum; brother-in-law, Jerry Davis, sister-in-law, Wanell Davis, brothers-in-law, Clayton Robertson, Jimmy Aspinwall, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mary Jean Thorton, Bobby Bourquine, and Charles and Eleanor Williams, and her father-in-law, Hardy Bourquine, Sr.
Services for Edna Bourquine will be held at 2pm on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Barney First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Campground Cemetery in Morven. Pastor Keith Wise will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
