Edna Mae Sarvis Cartrette, 78, of Gastonia, met Jesus face to face on Thursday, February 3, 2022. She was born in Columbus County, North Carolina to the late Fred Devine Sarvis and Lettie Mae Ward Sarvis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Irvin Lloyd Cartrette; her daughter, Edna Darlene "Lynn" Mason; as well as all of her brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Irvin Eugene Cartrette and his fiance Sandra, and Cynthia Mae Cartrette; her grandchildren, Amanda Clifton and her husband Donnie, Kimberly Eubanks, Holly Davenport and her husband Chris, Alicia McLaud and her husband Trey, Justin Marlowe, and John Aydyn Burnett; her great grandchildren, Kelsie Eubanks, Zachary Clifton, Kirsten Clifton, Hannah Eubanks, Zoey Cartrette, Kenny McLaud; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will greet guests from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Catawba Free Will Baptist Church, 301 Cherry Street in Mount Holly. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Noon on Tuesday, February 8, also at the church. Interment will conclude at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia. Arrangements are in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.
