Edna Fay Dixon, 89, of Walnut Ridge, entered into her heavenly home peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 6, 1936, in Smithville to the late Robert and Lillie (Gibbens) Massey. She was united in marriage to Gene Dixon on April 6, 1957, in Black Rock. Edna was a homemaker and enjoyed working the books at Dixon Auto Parts with her husband. She was of the Baptist belief. In their free time, she rode behind her beloved Gene, and traveled through all 50 states and Canada with their "Geritol Posse" group of friends. She loved cooking, baking, gardening flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren. Edna also enjoyed getting her hair fixed on Fridays and going out to eat at either Dairy King or Don's Steakhouse with her twin sister and friends. She loved going shopping and baking with her sister Erma.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, "Gene" Dixon.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Bunn (Greg) of Walnut Ridge, Lisa Dixon Burdin (Jack) of Jonesboro; sister, Erma Frisbee of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren, Lindsey Moore (Justin), Logan Bunn, Ashley McCormick (Daniel), TJ Emison; one great grandchild, Dixon McCormick, and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge, with funeral services immediately following at 2:30 p.m. with Steve Trail officiating. Interment will follow at Towsend Cemetery in Smithville under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Logan Bunn, TJ Emison, Justin Moore, Daniel McCormick, Larry Abbot, and Preston Clark.

Honorary pallbearers are Dan Matthews, Lloyd Gooch, and Tony Hudson.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Edna's caregivers, Joann Alexander, Rhonda Land, and Joyce Clayton. Southern Caregivers Laura, and the amazing employees of Elite Hospice.
