Services for Edna Hatcher, 91, of Canton, TX, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, November 9, 2024, at New Horizons Assembly of God Church, Grand Saline, with Pastor Tom Ferguson officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Interment will be in Nowata Memorial Cemetery, Nowata, OK. The family will hold their own graveside service, 11 a.m., Monday, November 11, 2024, at the cemetery.
Mrs. Hatcher passed away October 29, 2024, in Grand Saline. She was born June 18, 1933, in Delaware, OK, to Joe Franklin and Goldie Olive Willis Loyd. On July 6, 1955, she married James R. Hatcher in Santa Rosa, NM. She lived most of her life in Nowata, before moving to Canton, 10 years ago. She was a member of New Horizons Assembly of God Church, Grand Saline. She taught Sunday School and was actively involved in Children's and Nursing Home Ministries. Edna loved and cared for anyone that came her way. All her service to others flowed out of her love for Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years, James Hatcher; son, Darrell James Hatcher; two brothers, Alvin Loyd and Earl Loyd; two sisters, Gertrude Blose and Wyvon Drake.
Survivors include her son, Tim Hatcher and wife Lynley of Canton; two grandchildren, Brianna Hatcher and Cameron Hatcher; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Memorials can be made to New Horizon Assembly of God Church, P.O. Box 428, Grand Saline, TX, 75140.
The family will receive friends 10 a.m., Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the church.
