It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Edna "Eddie" Keene, lovingly known to most as Mama. She passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on Friday, October 10, just two days after celebrating her 79th birthday.
Born with a heart full of kindness and strength, Eddie shared a remarkable love story with her devoted husband and high school sweetheart, Ray Keene. Together, they spent more than 60 beautiful years side by side - a bond built on laughter, faith, and devoted love that inspired everyone around them.
Eddie was the kind of woman who always put others before herself. She had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and cared for. Everywhere she went, she made a friend - and every friendship became a meaningful part of the beautiful journey of her life.
Her strength shone through until the very end, a reflection of the courage and grace that defined her. She was loved deeply by many and will be missed beyond measure.
Eddie is survived by her husband, Ray Keene, and their children, Tim "Storm" Keene and Kim Burke. She was the proud grandmother of Amanda Lawhorn and her husband Jeff Lawhorn, along with their children Addison, Alex, Brianna, and Jensen; and Heather Price and her husband Jimmy Price, along with their children Kayden, Gaige, JD, and Adriana; as well as granddaughters Emma Keene and Cydney Karban and her husband Johnnie Karban.
She is also survived by her beloved brothers, Harold Sisk and Larry Sisk, and their wonderful families - sharing a lifetime of laughter, love, and many fond memories.
Her family will forever carry her memory in their hearts - her laughter, her hugs, her wisdom, and her love that will live on in all who knew her.
A celebration of Eddie's life will be held on Sunday, October 19 2025 from 4-7 pm, at the VFW on State Route 42 in Lexington, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Breast cancer and Alzheimer's research.
The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Keene family.
