Edna Lovick Page (age 93) entered into rest Monday, April 11, 2022, in Fayetteville, NC. One of 13 children, Edna was born August 10, 1928 in Wade, NC to Edward Augustus and Laura Ann Lovick (Holland). In June of 1947 she married Delbert P Page. They were members of Temple Baptist Church for over 50 years. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert of Fayetteville and her son Kenneth R Page of Rockledge, Florida. She is survived by her sister Annie Arch of Fayetteville, brother Jesse Lovick of Clovis, California, daughter and son-in-law Nora and Jim Lorenson of Spokane, WA, daughter-in-law Linda Page of Rockledge, FL; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Edna was a life-long homemaker and known throughout the community. No matter where she went, someone would always come up and say "Hi Miss Page." She loved music, had a lovely singing voice, and was able to harmonize beautifully. Her love of music began at her parent's farm house in Wade. Long before cell phones and television, she and her siblings would sit on the porch in the evening and sing hymns. Edna loved traveling with the Senior Group at Temple Baptist Church. Together they crisscrossed the state going to plays and concerts traveling as far as New York. She was always eager to see what was playing at the Temple Theatre in Sanford, NC. She was an excellent seamstress and made delicious chocolate cakes. She was fiercely independent and shared a tremendous friendship with her neighbors.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 3 pm at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Service with Pastor Brian Dawson presiding. The burial will follow at the Old Bluff Cemetery in Wade. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 2 to 3 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Bayada Hospice 2550 Ravenhill Dr Ste 202, Fayetteville, NC 28303.
