Edna Sue (Skidmore) Weirich 68, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, surrounded by family, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio - Perrysburg. She was born on October 29, 1956, in Portsmouth, Ohio to Harold L. and Mary Marie (Johnson) Skidmore.
Sue was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and always made sure to wear her Steelers gear on game days. She also loved watching movies, especially scary ones, and has passed that love on to her children and grandchildren. They really were her pride and joy. When not watching movies or her favorite game shows, she enjoyed playing solitaire, crocheting, completing sudoku puzzles and reminiscing about singing with her father in her younger years. Sue was also an avid animal lover and cherished her "phone calls" with her grandcat, Daryl.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Marie (Johnson) Skidmore of Oak Harbor, Ohio; son, Michael (Michelle) Skidmore of Lindsey, Ohio; daughter, Krista (Nick) Weirich of Oak Harbor, Ohio; grandchildren, Makayla (Brandon) Havens of Port Clinton, Ohio, Micah (Lindsay) Skidmore and Leah Skidmore of Brookport, Illinois; great- grandchildren Myles Skidmore and Nevaeha Havens; brother, Harold (Nancy) Skidmore of Oak Harbor, Ohio; sisters, Joyce (Doug) Hil of Oak Harbor, Ohio and Teresa Marie of Gibsonburg, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews whom she adored. She is preceded in death by her father, Harold L. Skidmore; great-niece, Brooklyn Rose Leonhardt; dog, Lucy; and cats, Jynx and Tiger.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 2:00pm-6:00pm at Robinson-Walker Funeral Homes, 165 E. Water Street, Oak Harbor, Ohio, 43449. A brief funeral service will be held at 6:00pm following visiting hours in the funeral chapel. Memorial donations in Sue's name may be made out to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
