Weisjahn, Edna, age 79 of Rosemount passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024. Preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; siblings: Raymond, Delores, and Viola; Survived by her sons: Dave (Betty) and Todd (Leah); grandchildren: Megan (Tyler), Natalie (Toby), Nicole, Noah, and Luke; great grandchildren: Kade, Thomas, and Nathan; siblings: Edward (Arlene) Sprute, Alice Hembree, Darlene Buss, and Donna (Stuart) Foster; also by other loving family and friends.
Edna was born and raised in Farmington, MN. After graduating high school, she worked for Federated Insurance Company. While at Federated, Edna met Jerry Weisjahn of Owatonna, MN. Jerry and Edna were married in 1964. In 1968, they moved to Rosemount, MN, where they resided in the same home for 54 years. Edna was a stay at home mom for many years, working part time jobs with Welcome Wagon and Tiny Tots pre-school program. She is most well known for being a cashier at Terry's Ace Hardware in Rosemount. The hardware store is where many customers would stop just to chat with mom on a daily basis. Edna was extremely dedicated to her family, taking great joy in supporting her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She constantly attended sporting events, dance recitals and school plays. In lieu of flowers,
memorials will be used to support activities and organizations that brought her joy,
Memorial service Thursday, October 3, 2024, 11am at Shepherd of The Valley Lutheran Church (12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd, Apple Valley). Memorial visitation from 5-8pm Wednesday, October 2 at White Funeral Home (12804 Nicollet Ave) BURNSVILLE and one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday.
