Edward Delvin Anders, known by his family and friends as "Buddy," passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the age of 74.

Buddy was born in Oldenburg, TX on April 2, 1951, the son of the late Maenelda (Herdler) and Edmund Anders, Sr.

Buddy graduated from La Grange High School in 1969. He worked for several years as a gatekeeper for La Grange Saltwater Disposal. Prior to this, Buddy also worked for Phillips 66 Gas Station.

Buddy was the type of person that never met a stranger. He enjoyed socializing with his many friends, especially while having a nice hot cup of coffee. Buddy also enjoyed playing dominoes and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his three brothers: James "Jimmy" Anders, Victor Anders and his wife, Beverly, and John Anders all of La Grange, TX; two sisters: Bernice Haney of Weimar, TX, and Evelyn Williams of Round Rock, TX; one sister-in-law, Betty Anders of La Grange, TX; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters: Irene Liebscher, Earlene Blaha, Lorine Kopecky, and Marilyn Bolfik; one brother, Edmund Anders, Jr.; six brothers-in-law: Light Liebscher, Daniel Blaha, Charlie Haney, Billy Williams, Frankie Kopecky and George Bolfik.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of La Grange or to Gardenia Janssen Animal Shelter.
