Edward T. Batka

Edward T. Batka, 63, of Allentown, PA formerly of Orlando, FL and Brooklyn, NY died Thursday, June 12, 2025 in his home. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Barbara (Bryant) Batka. He was a maintenance worker for Florida Hospital, Orlando before he was forced to retire because of disability. Edward was of the Catholic faith and had a heart of gold. He lived his faith by being generous to those who needed it most whether it was providing a place to stay to a homeless person or taking in an animal who needed a home. He thought of his rescue dogs as his children. Edward enjoyed classic movies especially westerns.
Survivors: Sisters, Joanne Ciminata and her husband Mario, Dawn Fontaine all of Easton, PA; brothers, Thomas Batka and his wife Elaine of Panama City, FL, Robert Batka and his wife Patricia of White Stone, NY, Daniel Batka and his wife Amy of Bethlehem, PA; brother-in-law, Amando Araujlo of Orefield, PA; sister-in-law, Mildred Batka of Tampa, FL; nieces; nephews; cousins; beloved dogs, Moo Moo and Tank. He was predeceased by his sister, Deborah Araujlo; brother, Joseph Batka and his beloved dog, Baby Girl.
Service: Funeral Service 7:00PM Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 5:00PM to 7:00PM Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at the funeral home.
