William R. Steiner Jr., age 69, passed away, surrounded by family, on February 19, 2026.

Born on December 5, 1956, in Bethlehem, PA, William was the son of the late William R. Steiner Sr. and the late Jean Steiner (Moran).

He is survived by his devoted wife, Swayae Steiner; his son, Craig Steiner and his wife Lindsay; his grandchildren, Jackson, Madyson, and Grayson, whom he loved dearly and cherished spending time with; his siblings, Karen Hooks, Kurt Steiner, George Steiner, and James Steiner. He was predeceased by his son, Matthew Steiner.

Bill dedicated much of his professional life to serving others as a Recreation Supervisor at the Hunterdon Developmental Center, where he brought joy, activity, and encouragement to those in his care. His passion for helping people extended far beyond his career. He was deeply involved with the New Jersey Special Olympics, contributing his time and energy to support athletes and promote inclusion through sports.

A man of strong faith, Bill served as a preacher and teacher at the Bethlehem Church of Christ in Bethlehem, PA, sharing his beliefs and uplifting his congregation with heartfelt messages and guidance.

An avid sports fan, Bill especially loved golf, finding great enjoyment on the course and following his favorite teams with enthusiasm.

Above everything, Bill will be remembered for the profound love he had for his grandchildren, the warmth he brought to every room, and the quiet dedication he showed to family, faith, community, and the simple pleasures of life like a good game or a day on the green.

His legacy of kindness, service, generosity, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
