Edward E. Batts, 77, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at his home in Anderson, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born February 6, 1948 in Lebanon, Indiana to Frank Edward and Martha L. Batts. He was a 1966 graduate of Zionsville High School. He retired from Anderson Power Company after 30 years of employment as a lineman. He was an N.G. Lighten Ball Insulator. He received the Indiana Red Cross Lifesaving award. Ed was a worker bee.
Edward is survived by his wife whom he married April 2, 1989, Janette (Tietsort) Batts; his children, Barbara (husband, Charlie) Muedano, Nathan Batts, Magan Batts, Jeremy (wife, Anita) Byrne, Joel (wife, JoEllen) Byrne, John (wife, Jennifer) Huther, Jack Huther; brother, Ronald P. (wife, Linda) Batts; sister, Marty (husband, Keith) Campbell; ten grandchildren; and many lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no services for Edward as his wishes were to be cremated.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lapel Stony Creek Township Fire Territory for the EMS fund, 8871 West 200 South, Lapel, Indiana 46051.
