Edward A. Blodgett was born to Lewis and Gladys Blodgett on August 21, 1944. He died December 18, 2024 after a short illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Holland, MA. He graduated in 1963 from Tantasqua High School in Sturbridge, MA and received a Bachelor’s degree in1968 from Atlantic Union College in South Lancaster, MA.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, his brother, David Blodgett, of Cambridge, ME, a nephew, Olin Blodgett and his wife Alilia, from Cambridge, ME.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970 as a medic, stationed at Walter Reed Hospital. He retired from the Town of Holland where he served as mechanic and Highway Superintendent for 27 years.
He was a member of the Warren Seventh-day Adventist Church in Warren, MA, where he liked to help with the care of the building and grounds.
He will be missed for his dedication and always being available to help out.
His funeral service will be held at 1PM, Monday, December 23, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. Burial will follow in the family plot in Holland Cemetery.
Calling hours are NOON to 3PM, Sunday, December 22, in the funeral Home.
