Edward Boyer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brownlie & Maxwell Funeral Service & Crematory on Mar. 21, 2025.
Edward (Eddie) Paul Boyer of Palm Bay, Florida passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 while undergoing cardiac surgery.
He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on August 14, 1946, and was the son of Edward Boyer and Lillian Tomaiolo.
Eddie met his future wife, Patti at Villanova University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in business, followed by an M.B.A from Suffolk University. He began his career as an accountant for Raytheon Corp, then he later became the Chief Financial Officer for Gentex Corp in Carbondale, PA. Eddie was also employed in the business office for Allied Services in Scranton, and before retiring in 2014, he served as the business manager for Keystone College in La Plume, PA. The majority of his adult life was spent in Clarks Summit, PA.
Since he loved the outdoors so much, he focused upon embellishing his lawn. He loved animals, along with Patti, especially dogs (Buddy was his favorite). Eddie was an accomplished golfer and enjoyed golfing with his buddies, Bobby and Rick. Eddie also enjoyed bowling, fishing and card games with another good buddy Walter. We won't forget that Eddie was an avid "Jeopardy" tv fan, and so adept at the game.
Upon retiring, the family moved to Palm Bay, Florida where he also enjoyed walking the beach. Both he and Patti became weekly volunteers at the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida.
Eddie is survived by his wife of fifty six years, Patti; two sons, Eddie Boyer Jr. and his wife Kattya Boyer of Kissimmee, Florida and Darren Boyer M.D and his fiancé Airisha Ramirez M.D of San Diego, California; two grandsons, Nathan and Noah, and two granddaughters Mina and Carissa, all of whom he adored.
Ed was a tall, quick witted, handsome guy, who never lost his New England accent. We will miss hearing him.
A memorial service, honoring his life, will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11:30am at the Brownlie & Maxwell Funeral Home in Melbourne, Florida.
