Edward (Fluff) Charles Brown was born August 23, 1951, in Bogalusa, LA, to the late Carl Brown Sr and Naomi Jefferson-Brown. He attended and graduated from Central Memorial High School in Bogalusa, LA in 1969. After a few years at Southern University, he began his career working for the United States Post Office in Washington, DC, and later transferred to the Dallas, TX location.
Charles was formally married to Brenda Brown, and from their union were two children, Monique Brown-Owens and Jeryl Rashad Brown. After many years in Texas, he settled back in LA, where another son, Aaron Charles, was born.
Charles is preceded in death by his son Aaron Charles, his parents Carl Brown Sr, mother Naomi Jefferson-Brown; paternal grandparents Hollis Brown and Nancy Brown-Chapman; maternal grandparents Thomas H. Jefferson Sr. and Zena Beckham-Jefferson.
He leaves to cherish his memories children Monique Brown-Owens (Mansfield, TX) Jeryl Brown (Arlington, TX); grandchildren and greatgrandchildren Jhene, Jada, Jaylinr Owens, Javan, Jemiah Sipho, Kelani Jackson; siblings Carl Brown Jr. (Baton Rouge, LA), Douglas (Pam) Brown, (Allen, TX), Jannifer Brown-Guillory (Baton Rouge, LA) Reginald (Nelma) Brown, (Baton Rouge, LA) and a host of other relatives and friends
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 11:00AM at St. Paul A.M.E. Church Bogalusa, LA 70427.
