Edward Catone Obituary
Born in West Warwick, he was the son of the late Edward and Josephine Catone.
Mr. Catone was employed by the City of Pawtucket as Superintendent of Sewers & Sanitation for over 25 years. He served as President of the Italian Independent Club in Pawtucket for over 20 years and was a member of the Pawtucket Board of Canvassers.
He served honorably in the United States Air Force.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Edward R. Catone and his wife Lisa, Marc Catone and his wife Carol. He also leaves behind his two grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Marc Catone and Carla Catone.
His funeral will be Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 8:45 am from the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St Pius V Church, 240 Eaton Stret, Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours are Monday, December 8, 2025, from 4:00pm –7:00pm.
