In loving memory of my beautiful loving wife of 55 years, 8 months and 4 days. And everyone said it wouldn't last!!
A longtime resident of Robertsdale, Alabama, Kay passed away peacefully at Vitas Hospice of Sacred Heart Hospital with her family by her side. Kay is preceded in death by her father, John S. Williams; mother, Alma B. Williams; as well as her two brothers, Hugh and Jack Williams.
Not only a loving wife, but also a loving mother to three children, Paul Dean Hudik (Pamela Fossi), Deidri Young (Jim), and Kyna Philips (Chad). Kay was a loving grandmomma to four beautiful grandchildren, Tyler Duck (Kayla), Morgan and Madison Philips, and Noah Hudik. She was a proud great grandmomma to Taylor Reese Duck. Kay also had one honorary granddaughter, Cayden Cheney and numerous nieces and nephews. She had many close neighbors and friends that she loved as much as her own family.
One of her greatest pleasures was her family trying and trying to pass on wisdom, love, and yes, failures.
A longtime resident of Robertsdale, Alabama, Kay was born in
Pensacola, Florida, and spent much of her upbringing in Key West. The Williams family eventually ended up back in Pensacola due in part to her father's job with the Army Corps of Engineers.
A department manager for the Winn-Dixie Corporation for 20 years, Kay retired from the retail industry in 1995. She quickly grew tired of being at home and went back to work for a veterinarian clinic and spent the next 20 years helping animals.
Prayer was a very important of our home every single day. Kay was a very strong believer in the good Lord above and all the blessings he bestowed upon the world. Sitting on the front porch and watching all the animals, she would always say, "If people don't believe in a gracious God, they need to sit on our front porch and watch the wonders of the animals and they would know his powers."
Per her request, Kay will be cremated with a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
