Edward D. Chowansky, 71, of Waterbury, entered into the Gates of Heaven on Tuesday November 26, 2024 at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness.
Ed was born in Waterbury on May 18, 1953, son of the late Joseph J. and Emily (Melnick) Chowansky. He graduated from Kennedy High School Class of 1971. He worked with his family at Fusco's Auto Salvage until his retirement in 2019. He enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with his dog, name.
He is survived by his siblings; Gloria O'Connor of Middlebury, Joseph J. Chowansky, Jr of Arizona, John Chowansky, Steven Chowansky and Daniel Chowansky all of Waterbury and Robert "Rob" Chowansky of Prospect; and three nephews, Christopher and Robert O'Connor of Middlebury and Michael Shea of Prospect.
Arrangements: At Ed's request all services are private and at the convenience of the family. Brookside Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 200 Benson Road, Middlebury has been entrusted with the arrangements.
