Edward Joseph Conlan, beloved husband of Nancy (Montella) Conlan, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024. Ed was the father of Stephanie Conlan, grandfather of Mariah Schmitt (husband Jeremy), Kathleen and Olivia Craig, and great-grandfather of Luke and Addilyn Schmitt. He also leaves his brother Gregory Conlan and wife Dale, sisters-in-law Denise and Nancy Conlan, Barbara (D'Addario) Robyor, Lenora (D'Addario) Rice and her husband John, many nieces and nephews, several close friends, and his devoted Bible study class at St. Philip Church in Ashford, CT. Ed was predeceased by his first wife, Rosemary D'Addario Conlan, his parents Edward and Alice, his brother Richard and nephew Peter Conlan, brothers-in-law Joseph D'Addario and Donald Robyor, and sister-in-law Phyllis D'Addario. After serving in the United States Army, Ed became a printer, then a buyer of office equipment at the Hartford Insurance Group, where he met Nancy, his wife of 51 years. He then worked at Aetna, and for 20 years at Big Y Supermarket. His greatest love was sharing the Word of God through teaching Bible study classes to many willing students, from children to adults. He celebrated 66 years of teaching in 2024. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Philip Church, 64 Pompey Hollow Rd., Ashford, CT. Burial will follow in St. Philip Cemetery, Ashford, CT. "I will proclaim your name to my brethren;
In the midst of the assembly I will praise you."
His life was an inspiration; may his memory be a blessing.
